An amusing walk to the village of Magliano Sabina (about 30 mins.), that still in part conserves a medieval aspect with noble and severe sixteenth-century palaces.
Your itinerary should start from the San Liberatore Cathedral, built in fifteenth century but completely restored in seventeenth century, which preserves eighteenth century wall paintings and some interesting Renaissance paintings.
Some monumental civil buildings also deserve to be visited, such as the Palazzo Episcopale and the Palazzo Civico, where are preserved Roman relics and a “terracotta” statue of the Virgin with the Child. Other worthy signalling churches are: the nineteenth-century church of the Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie (which hides a splendid fifteenth-century votive crypt, rich of Romanesque frescos) and the little Romanesque church of San Pietro (century XII) one of the most ancient monuments of the village.
Furthermore we suggest a visit to the Archaeological Museum, that preserves archaeological finds of Bronze Age.
